Meet Michael

I have done a multitude of recordings both as a bass player and as a singer. I still play the same Fender Precision
Bass I bought in 1973. My musical career has continued virtually uninterrupted for the past 50 years. I am a published author with close to 45,000 readers worldwide and recently retired from a 25 year career as a tenured Elementary vocal music teacher.  Michael’s last three trios have been: The K-Gun Band was a trio with my brother David and son Chris. It gives me a warm heart to know I can be singing and working with my son and brother. My other band is called SMASH. Smash is a trio consisting of me and Craig Mangus. The guitar/singing duties are split between my friend Doug Fisher and my brother David Keller. Beginning in October, 2023 my new project is called: The Rabbitfoot Band. Rabbitfoot consists of my brother, David Keller (vocals and lead guitar), Jimmy Mercurio (vocals and percussion) and Michael (vocals, bass and guitar). Rabbitfoot performs blues and assorted songs from the 60’s through today.

Earlier in 2017 I got the idea of going out on my own to see if I could sing well enough for people to enjoy my voice. These songs I am doing now I grew up with but only started singing them 12 months ago. I am looking forward to practicing and working on each song so I can sing it to the best of my ability.

Meet Michael

I would spend hours and hours listening and wondering how they did it. I began playing guitar in 1967 and switched to bass in
1973. In 1974 I had the chance to perform on a Hawaiian Cruise Line but instead decided to continue my college studies receiving my Master of Science degree in Elementary Education/Music.

MICHAEL STUART

My musical tenure began in high school when my parents would buy me records of Dean Martin, Bobby Vinton, the Tijuanna Brass and musicals like Carousel, My Fair Lady, and The Sound of Music.
